Policy and Legislation Monitoring
This includes monitoring current domestic and international policies and legislation to continuously develop positions, opinions, recommending amendments and reviews for the consideration of parliament, public institutions, private sector institutions and other stakeholders.
Research and Information
Include conducting research, disseminating information, communicating with the media, developing educational material and other forms of communication – drama and music, theatre among others.
Lobby, Advocacy and Networking
This translates results of the first two departments into activities that involve engaging and creating stakeholders, networks and collaborative partners who can contribute through written material such as books and journals, public meetings, workshops, focus group meetings, conferences, press statements and other platforms that enhance the campaign. Legal Advice and Advocacy Training Centre (ALAC)
A community service centre that offers both pragmatic services to individuals, communities, companies, and institutions who are victims of corruption, or witnesses to corruption by giving legal aid and advice. The advocacy aspect of the centre focuses on public education and prevention strategies based on cases and complaints lodged and collated by the centre over a three month period, or on a quarterly basis.
Regional Advocacy
The major objective is to build capacity of TI chapters in Southern Africa and chapters in formation. The capacity shall be aimed at influencing regional anti corruption and governance initiatives at the highest level. Specific focus shall be on participatory governance and partnering with an empowered free media, to influence reforms on the delivery of social services that are affordable as well as accountable public service provision for poverty reduction and other social concerns. The overall objective is to advocate for transparent, accountable leadership with integrity.
